In 1969 Lester unknowingly began this business as he bought cement in bulk for modernising and expanding his farm prior to getting married, and ended up selling it to his neighbours as a favour. Back then he bought a tonne of cement for £7 and sold it for just £8. Lester has never believed in over charging for goods and it's  just the same now 50 years on.

Alongside this early enterprise he owned a JCB and was doing contracting work, and supplying all the necessary drainage goods. Gradually word spread and people began requesting other products and Lester would source them but would only buy them in if he could get them at a competitive price!

 The business grew and with that came the staff, some of whom have been employed for many years starting as Saturday lads whilst still at school and are still there today and as recognition of all their hard work and dedication they were made shareholders of the business in 2003. Lester and the team would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all their loyal customers and families (some that have been with them since the start) Without you we wouldn't be here !

After 63 years of hardwork, Lester is looking forward to semi-retirement and the plan is for business as usual as he takes a backseat.
